Why is the church building this playground?
The church was planted in 2017 and since then has desired to think of creative ways to be a blessing to the community. We recognized the unique location of the church property and the need in the community. Our hope is that the surrounding neighborhood would get to enjoy the beautiful property that God has given us to steward.

 Who is this Playground for?
This is a playground in the Castleton community for the Castleton community! Our hope is that families from all over Castleton would feel welcome to enjoy this playground and as well as the new Prayer Path. The playground has structures designed for 2-5yrs and children 5-14yrs.

Where will it be located?
The playground will be located on the south side of 91st Street near Allisonville and will be visible from the sidewalk. We are excited it will be accessible for many families who do not currently have direct access to a community playground.

Whatโ€™s special about this playground structure?
This playground is unique because it is one of only three playgrounds like it in the entire state! The Castle structure and natural wood will make it easy for children to engage their imaginations and enjoy something different than what is normally found in area parks.

What material is used to build the structure?
The playground structure is made of all organic Robina Wood by KOMPAN from sustainable European sources. Robina wood does not splinter or rot and is expected to last 30 years. The playground surface will consist of playground mulch that will match the style of the playground structure. Lean More

When will it be built?
Our hope is that the playground would be built by the summer of 2026. This date is contingent on hitting our fundraising target by November of 2025.

How much will it cost?
The whole playground project is estimated to cost $272,000. The cost breakdown of the different elements can be seen on the playground website.

Who can give?
Anyone can give! While the members of Castleton Community are not counting on outside funding, we would welcome donations of any amount to help make this dream a reality for the community. 100% of any donation will be given to fund the building of the community playground.

How many kids can play on the structure?
The main Castle structure is designed to accommodate 40-50 children. The whole playground is designed to accommodate 76 children.

Will there be public bathrooms?
Due to cost, there will be no new public restrooms built on site.

What hours is the playground open?
The playground will be open daily from Dawn to Dusk.
